Segond fracture, an avulsion fracture of lateral tibial condyle, was first described by Paul Segond in 1879. In general, we had thdought that simple roentgenogram was not useful in diagnosis of rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament. But, it
was
reported by many authors ahe possibility of rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament was high in the presdence of this fracture in simple roentgdenogram. So, we think that it is necessary to examine whether or not the anterior cruciate ligament
was
injured in the presence of the Segond fracture. And, here we report three cases of Segond fracture associated with the anterior cruciate ligament injury.
